A helical anchor/pile is an extendable deep foundation system with helical bearing plates welded to a central steel shaft. Anchors are used in tension applications and piles are used in compression applications. Load is transferred from the shaft to the soil through these bearing plates.
Helical piers, also known as anchors, piles or screw piles, are deep foundation solutions used to secure new or repair existing foundations,a modern improvement to traditional cement footings. Each pier consists of an engineered steel post with screw-like helices. Helical pile is extendable base equipment which is made up of helical engineered metallic plates that are attached to a central steel shaft using a round or rectangular cross-section. The steel plate thickness, diameter, number, and helices operate are determined through the restricted or supported arrangement's minimal design life, the ecological rust, and geotechnical parameters, along with the design fill demands.
